BTRG announced today that Michael Martin, Information Governance Practice Director, has been chosen to again be a member of IBM’s Champion program for 2012.
The IBM Champion program recognizes innovative thought leaders in the technical community — and rewards these contributors by amplifying their voice and increasing their sphere of influence. An IBM Champion is an IT professional, business leader, developer, or educator who influences and mentors others to help them make best use of IBM software, solutions, and services.
“Mike is a recognized thought leader for Information Governance best practices. He has successfully combined his knowledge of application environments with data management technologies to deliver client value,” says Bill Sallurday, IBM’s Channels Sales Manager for Information Management.
As Information Governance Practice Director, Mike has been focused on delivering data management solutions for BTRG customers for the last seven years. The Information Governance practice focuses on providing enterprise-level customers with Information Governance, Integrated Data Quality Management, Information Lifecycle Management and Information Security and Privacy solutions using IBM’s InfoSphere Information Management Software solutions including, Optim and Guardium products as well as BTRG proprietary solutions.
“There have been more and more high profile data breaches at Fortune 1000 companies featured in the news recently. I’m sure there have been others and certainly attempted breaches not reported. I’m proud to have been again chosen as a member of IBM’s Champion program”, says Martin. “It’s indicative of our commitment not only to deliver Information Governance and data management solutions but to enable customers to protect themselves, improve their systems and leverage data as an asset, enterprise-wide, through a concerted knowledge transfer process”, he adds.
