On October 21, The Business & Technology Resource Group, Inc. (BTRG) announced the go-live of PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 at Berkadia – one of the first four go-lives of the product since its release in March 2013. BTRG’s core team of three PeopleSoft experts completed the project in six months, yielding benefits that include a 74% reduction in customizations.
Berkadia engaged BTRG in April 2013 to upgrade their PeopleSoft Financials modules (read the case study) (Asset Management, Accounts Payable, Expenses, General Ledger, and Purchasing) from v8.9 to v9.2.
“We relied heavily on our experience as an Oracle pre-release 9.2 testing partner for success with this project,” said Robert Fox, Oracle Practice Manager at BTRG. “Before the upgrade even began, we led Berkadia through an assessment that projected the advantages of 9.2. Berkadia is happy with the results of their upgrade.”
Since the go-live, Berkadia has already recognized several benefits, including:
- A lower total cost of ownership by eliminating 74% of existing customizations and by migrating to a database platform supported with in-house expertise.
- Elimination of 90% of matching issues by using delivered configuration
- Ability to eliminate third party Accounts Payable workflow system with delivered workflow; project to begin in Q1 2014.
“Our team was eager to dive into this project. We’ve been working with PeopleSoft for 20 years, but every new release brings new opportunities to boost and transform our client’s business,” said Jeff Goddard, President of BTRG. “At Berkadia, our lean team worked quickly to crank out very significant results by partnering closely with the Berkadia team.”
