I recently attended the Information Governance Council’s Predictive Governance Forum in New York City.
* Data Quality Simulation
* Internet Jurisdiction
* Global Regulatory Relief
* Semantic Consistency in SDLC
* Business Glossaries and Data
* Information Archiving Policy
We had an excellent two day meeting focusing on ways to push the emerging area of Information Governance forward. One of the main areas of focus was Predictive Governance, in other words, using systems theory coupled with data governance principles to model business and Information Governance initiatives and decisions. Steven Adler, IBM, posted a very interesting blog entry on Predictive Governance.
Also at this meeting BTRG officially joined the IBM Data Governance Council! Overall, it was a very thought provoking two days and I’m looking forward to BTRG’s participation in the Information Governance Council as we bring more and more data solutions to our clients.
