Oracle Fusion Middleware

Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM) is the way towards SOA for customers running applications on the Oracle or PeopleSoft solution stack. Many of our PeopleSoft customers have already expressed interest or have started adopting the latest capabilities offered from Oracle. However, others are curious why is this so important for their ERP investment?

Reason 1. Oracle Fusion Middleware allows you to easily configure interfaces, reports and business processes in line with new technical tools that enforce standards and deliver immediate ROI – this is the first step towards SOA at either no or low cost to you.
Reason 2. Oracle Fusion Middleware will allow corporations to extract superior value from the “business applications” from Oracle and position their organization to make a smoother transition to FUSION and experience a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Our OFM Roadmap Service has been developed a solution offering that allows PeopleSoft Enterprise customers to build their SOA Roadmap utilizing the Oracle Fusion Middleware process as a springboard. XML Publisher. Conceptually, Oracle Fusion Middleware recognizes that the business user plays a major role in the new era of computing. SOA is based on this premise that the business processes are king and users need greater access and simplification to drive value through the corporation. XML Publisher applied to PeopleSoft Enterprise accomplishes just this. It is a tool embedded within the PeopleTools v8.48 or higher release that allows users to separate the presentation layer of reporting from the data\processing logic. It does this while also using standards like XML which act as the data vehicle. Users can output the information to their favorite formats: Pdf, Word, Excel and manipulate presentation without impacting the processing logic.

Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) Process Manager. This is an important cornerstone of the Oracle Fusion Middleware offering that is completely standards based (see OASIS). The BPEL Process Manager is a drag & drop modeler, workflow creator and integration manager allowing users to create composite applications with greater ease.
